Discovery Mining Company Records, ca. 1905-1914.

The Discovery Mining Company Records consist of a single ledger containing the company's accounts for the period July through October 1913 and February 1914 (pages 65-73). A mention of the Fairbanks Meat Company indicates that the Discovery Mining Company was operating in the Fairbanks, Alaska, region. Other records in the ledger may or may not relate to the Discovery Mining Company. They consist of the undated itemized accounts of a number of individuals (pages 1-24) and mention of work done on the "A.B. Claim" in September 1926 (page 25). A comparison of names against an index to Polk's Alaska-Yukon Gazetteer suggests that the itemized accounts may relate to activity in a region encompassing Fairbanks Creek, Chena, and Cleary, Alaska, circa 1905-1910.
